Wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!

Oh, my poor neglected blog. Things got so intense here at Corinna Raznikov Photography, I had to forego blogging just to keep up. The new year has come in and now I'm playing catchup. I have a GAZILLION exciting things and images to blog about, and I'm definitley going to have to go out of order now.

First things first though! The SPECTACULAR wedding I shot in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for Debbie and Benny - perhaps two of the nicest people I've ever worked for. They are both so generous of spirit and passionate about everything - it is intoxicating just to be with them.

More pics of this amazing event coming soon, but here is a teaser of this wonderful event.

Beautiful Boston Engagement

Three pics from my latest Boston Engagement Shoot. It was an amazing one. More pics to follow.Boston EngagementBoston EngagementBoston Engagement

NYC Engagement

The first of my two NYC engagement shoots. I think this first photo is a great example of how sometimes soft focus or a little movement can make the shot more dramatic. I actually have this shot sharp about a second later, but I like this one more. There is a romance to it now that it loses when it was sharp.

Engagement Portrait in Bolton, MA

I've been neglecting my blog in favor of the immediacy of facebook recently, but I've got to show some of the great shoots I've been doing. I loved shooting in this apple orchard - what a great idea!

My favorite pic from my Oct. 11 wedding at The Crane Estate, Ipswich, MA

O.K., maybe it's in the top ten, but I am thrilled with the radiant pictures from the wedding at The Crane Estate. I truly swoon for this location.

This is the beautiful bride and her charming father walking down the aisle with some great lens flare. I was just laughing with a new photographer-friend on Sunday about how I"ve come to peace and even embraced lens flare. I love the energy it adds to this photo!

The May Kids

I have photographed these two kids every year since they were born. We have this beautiful rapport now where we can just hang out for an hour and I get such REAL shots. I love it.

Letterpress Work Featured on Blogs

I'm so pleased that two different blogs have featured the work that my graphic designer, Sharon Bartholomew, and my calligrapher/mapmaker, the insanely talented http://www.piergustafson.com created for me. I also worked with the fabulous Debi Zeinart from http://thebloomingquill.com for the calligraphy on my business cards and website.

Here are the great pics and links to both blogs! Thanks for the kudos! I love my new look!

I love this cool blog. Here's the direct link to the post about my stationary.

Engagement Portrait in Newport, RI

I had a great engagement shoot in Newport last month. This is the sister of one of my favorite bride's from last year. I'm so excited about working with this kind and funny family again.

I love this next picture because of the way he is looking at her. It reminds me of that song from Guys and Dolls "Those eyes are the eyes of a man  in love..."

this is after I confessed that I had just learned how to tie a "Bolan Knot". Meagan, an experienced sailor, quickly picked up a line on the dock and taught Billy how to tie a Bolan. He learned quickly and made us all laugh - well, he made us all laugh practically the whole afternoon! Bolan Knot as Mustache - this could be the first.

another reason I love this couple - they go along with my silly ideas!

New Website Launched at www.raznikovphotography.com

I'm so pleased to announce my new website at www.raznikovphotography.com has been launched. I'm still busily populating some of the galleries, but there are a lot of new things to see on it, so make sure to check it out. It also takes advantage of the new logo seen here at the top of the blog that the fabulous graphic designer, Sharon Bartholomew ,did for me. She now works at the magazine, Southern New England Weddings, but fortunately for me still takes on freelance jobs too. I"ll be posting the new materials she made for me this week.

Please visit www.raznikovphotography.com and shoot me an email or leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Cape Cod Family Portrait

This extended family portrait seems to be a symbol of the idyllic life on Cape Cod. I love the added interest of the belts on the girls dresses here. They seem to be young gods and goddesses out for a stroll.gods and goddesses on the beach

Then we had this fabulous little guy just learning how to walk. He looks like he is trying to hold himself up!

I do love when I get to photograph the children of previous brides and grooms. Here is another lovely one - three kids - wow - how time flies. To me, the mother will always be one of my brides. :)

Fireworks at Willowbend!

This was the wedding to end all weddings and I don't think I can show all the details in one post. Barbies, LOTS of shoes, Dress Changes, Butterflies, Fireworks - everything was over the top fabulous! So........ part two coming soon....

I'm crazy in love with this bride and her adorable family. They were so wonderful to work with. Check it out!

The bride's room was decorated with barbies from her bridal shower and I was unable to resist making them go for a sleigh ride in one set of the bride's fabulous shoes and then wearing the rings!

Beautiful Family

Another reason why I feel so lucky to do my job. I get to meet the coolest people. I had a phenomenal time photographing this gorgeous family. I photographed this little guy when he was still in his mommy's belly. Now they are waiting for the next one.

Thankyou for a wonderful shoot.
